The antifungal posaconazole is used to treat invasive and systemic fungal infections. As a result of significant drug interactions, therapeutic drug monitoring of posaconazole is recommended when administered with protease inhibitors (PIs) or non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs).
