Chickens were immunized with digoxigenin and egg yolks were collected. An IgY enriched fraction was prepared, antibody was immunoaffinity purified off an antigen containing immunosorbent and conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Antibody concentration was determined prior to conjugation using an absorbance at 280 nm: 1.32equals 1.0 mg of IgY. This antibody reacts with digoxigenin as determined by blotting and ELISA techniques. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
