Chlamydia trachomatis trachoma type B strain HAR-36 is propagated in McCoy [McCoy B] cells (ATCC CRL-1696). This strain was isolated from the conjunctiva of a 12-month-old male with trachoma in Saudi Arabia. The strain can be used in sexually transmitted disease research.
