Description

Used to determine limit of detection (LOD), in diagnostic assay development or crossreactivity studies

  • Each frozen aliquot contains 0.25mL of Chlamydia trachomatis that were propagated in monolayer of L929 cells
  • Titer is in Chlamydial inclusion forming units (IFU) and is measure of the infectivity of the material
  • Inclusions were quantified by direct immunofluorescence
  • Culture was frozen in sucrose-phosphate-glutamate buffer
  • Partially purified and may contain mouse cells
  • To maintain viability it is recommended to make any dilution of C. trachomatis with diluent buffer provided with material
  • Contain intact organisms and should be run in a manner identical to that used for clinical specimen
