Chloramphenicol Yeast Glucose Agar is a selective medium for enumerating yeasts and moulds in milk and milk products. Yeast extract and dextrose support vigorous fungal growth while incorporated chloramphenicol suppresses accompanying bacteria, giving clean, countable plates, final pH 6.6. Its low pH dependence on antibiotic selection makes it well suited to dairy and food mycology where reliable fungal recovery is essential. Dehydrated powder, store in a cool dry place. Packaged as 500 g.
