What should I do if my Chloride, Quant Test strip is reading at the maximum value of 3,000 mg/L?

If the test strip shows a value of 3,000 mg/L, the concentration of chloride ions may actually be higher. In this case, we recommend carrying out a stepwise dilution of the sample with distilled water in a ratio of 1:5, in order to bring the chloride concentration into the measuring range of the test strip.

What instructions should I use for the Chloride, Quant Test Strips?

We recommend the following instructions for the Chloride, Quant Test Strips:
1. Take one strip from the container and immediately close the container.
2. Immerse the test strip in the sample solution for 1 second so that the reaction zone is thoroughly moistened.
3. Remove the test strip and gently shake off any excess liquid.
4. Wait 60 seconds and compare the reaction zone with the color scale on the label.

Note: The pH of the sample solution must be within the range 5-8. Adjust, if necessary, with sodium hydroxide solution or nitric acid.
