CHEMetrics™ by AquaPhoenix Chlorine ULR Refill Kit

Description
- Free chlorine oxidizes DDPD, a methyl substituted form of DPD (N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine), to form a purple?colored species in direct proportion to the chlorine concentration.
- Total chlorine, the sum of free chlorine and combined chlorine (chloramines), is determined by adding potassium iodide (A-2500 solution) to the sample. Chlorine oxidizes the iodide to iodine, and the iodine then oxidizes DDPD to the purple-colored species. Results are expressed in ppm (mg/L) Cl2. The combined chlorine concentration of a sample can be determined by difference between the total and free results
