Chloroxylenol is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that can be used to control bacteria, algae, fungi, and viruses. It inhibits the viability, proliferation, migration, invasion, and sphere formation, and induces apoptosis in HCT116 and SW480 cells by inhibiting the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. It also inhibits nuclear translocation of β-catenin in HCT116 and SW480 cells and inhibits the growth of CRC organoids. In vivo, Chloroxylenol inhibits tumor growth in a MC38 cell xenograft model.
