Column, Chromatography, 24/40 Outer Joint, 250mL Reservoir, 1in ID X 12in E.L., 2mm Stopcock. General purpose column having a PTFE stopcock, reservoir of the listed capacity and a top standard taper outer joint. Glass wool (not supplied) is used to support the column packing. Column is constructed using MEDIUM WALL TUBING. Can be used as a gravity eluted column or a flash column (as described by W.C. Still, M. Kahn and A. Mitra of Columbia University in JOURNAL OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 43, 2923 [1978], and covered in U.S. Patent Number 4,293,422 dated October 6, 1981) when used with CG-1191 flow control adapter. Lower end of the column has a round bottom.
