Bioworld Citrate Buffer, 0.5M, pH 8.0, 250 mL
Supplier: Bioworld 403200592

The citrate buffer is composed of Citric acid monohydrate (C6H8O7 • H2O, MW 210.14) and Trisodium citrate dehydrate (C6H5O7Na3 • 2H2O, MW 294.12) mixed in a fixed ratio to attain the desired pH. As a conjugate base of a weak acid, citrate can perform as a buffering agent or acidity regulator, resisting changes in pH. May be used for antigen retrieval of tissue samples. The citrate solution is designed to break protein cross-links; thus, unmasking antigens and epitopes in formalin-fixed and paraffin embedded tissue sections, resulting in enhancing staining intensity of antibodies. Citrate has anticoagulant activity as a calcium chelator.Technical Information :citrate buffer (pK1): 3.13 (25°C, pH range: 2.2-6.5)citrate buffer (pK2): 4.76 (25°C, pH range: 3.0-6.2)citrate buffer (pK3): 6.4 (25°C, pH range: 5.5-7.2)Warning:For laboratory use only. Not fit for agricultural, household, clinical use or humanconsumption.PH Value: 8.0
