Chemical. CAS 14348-21-1. Formula C21H22O5. MW 354.4. Cnidicin is a natural product isolated from the root extract of Angelica koreana Umbelliferae. Cnidicin has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activity. It inhibits the degranulation of mast cell and the nitric oxide NO generation in RAW 264.7 cells, by inhibition of nitric oxide synthase expression. Cnidicin has shown anti-proliferative and cytotoxic activity in vitro on cultured human tumor cells such as A549 non small cell lung, SK-OV-3 ovary, SK-MEL-2 melanoma, XF498 central nervous system and HCT-15 colon.
