The COX (human) Inhibitor Screening Assay directly measures PGF2α by stannous chloride reduction of COX-derived PGH2 produced in the COX reaction. The prostanoid product is quantified via ELISA using an antiserum specific to PGF2a. This assay includes recombinant human COX-1 and COX-2 and is an excellent tool for general COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor screening. It will also help to eliminate false positive leads generated by less specific methods.
