Description

Confidently carry out testing of media, reagents, and identification & antimicrobial susceptibility kits and evaluate bacteriological procedures with ready-to-use Thermo Scientific™ Culti-Loops™ QC organisms.

Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC™ BAA-2814™ is recommended to be used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing quality control with disc diffusion and MIC applications.

The Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC™ BAA-2814™ strain produces Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase KPC-3 and β-lactamase enzymes SHV-11 & TEM-1. The strain is recommended for β-lactam combination agent QC testing, such as Meropenem-vaborbactam and Imipenem-relebactam, by CLSI and EUCAST.

Technique:

The loop can be streaked directly onto appropriate media.

Alternatively, it may be dissolved in a liquid medium, Culti-Loops Aerobic Set Rehydration Fluid, Part No. R4631000.

Includes:

Culti-Loops are individually sealed in a foil pouch and packaged five loops per package.
