Thermo Scientific™ Culti-Loops™ are ready-to-use QC organisms recommended for use in performance testing of media, stains, reagents and identification kits, and for the evaluation of bacteriological procedures.

The loop may be dissolved in liquid medium, Culti-Loops Aerobic Set Rehydration Fluid, Part No. R4631000 or streaked directly onto an appropriate media.
According to ATCC S. aureus ATCC™ 6538P™ was found moderately resistant to penicillin in 1944 using a Penicillin P2 disk. This result was confirmed in initial characterization at ATCC, but subsequent investigation using a Penicillin P10 disk did not show resistance. Resistance has not been confirmed using modern methods in accordance with the Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.

Culti-Loops are individually sealed in a foil pouch and packaged five loops per package.
