The Cyclin C (E6V4Z) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is designed to detect endogenous levels of total cyclin C protein. Generated by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Pro263 of human cyclin C. Cyclin C functions as a component of the cyclin C/CDK8 complex, which associates with the Mediator Complex to regulate RNA polymerase II-dependent transcription, and plays significant roles in mitochondrial dynamics, apoptosis, and cell cycle progression.

  • Validated applications: western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence (immunocytochemistry), and flow cytometry (fixed/permeabilized).
  • Species reactivity: human and mouse.
