Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a human Herpes virus (HHV-5) and has a diameter of approximately 120 to 180nm. It is an enveloped icosahedral virus that contains a nucleocapsid and double-stranded linear DNA.

  • Consist of virus, cells, and media taken directly from the tissue culture flask
  • Propagated in the MRC-5 cell line
  • Biosafety Level 2 organism
  • Available in 1.0mL aliquots
  • Each lot assayed for its Tissue Culture Infective Dose (TCID50)
  • Titer: <105 U/mL
