DAB is the most commonly used amine substrate for the histochemcial localization of peroxidases. DAB is an extremely sensitive indicator, producing a characteristic brown oxidation product easily visible with light microscopy. DAB can be used as a stand alone product, or it may be combined with KPL's Enhance Black Buffer to create HistoMark BLACK substrate.
