DASA-58 (CAS 1203494-49-8) is a selective activator of pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) an enzyme involved in the regulation of glycolytic metabolism in cancer cells By promoting PKM2 activity DASA-58 disrupts the interaction between PKM2 and phosphotyrosine-containing proteins that typically suppress PKM2 catalytic function thereby modulating cancer cell metabolism In biochemical assays DASA-58 displays AC90 and AC50 values of 680 nM and 38 nM respectively Cellular studies demonstrate that DASA-58 induces a dose-dependent activation of PKM2 in A549 cell-derived lysates with an EC50 of 19 6 M DASA-58 serves as a valuable tool for probing PKM2-related metabolic pathways and tumorigenesis in cancer research
