Modified fixative Yellow, routinely used for optimal fixation of eyes

  • Davidson fixed eyes were easier to cut because it had a more robust structure compared to the formalin fixed eyes
  • This fixative can support excellent staining of acrosomes with Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) reagent when staging of spermatogenesis is required
