An "H" shape moat which forms 2 counting areas that are metal plated and double Neubauer ruled providing sharp bright line contrast for consistent cell counts. A "V" cut on each area is used to control the possibility of overflow. Triple dividing lines clearly show cells within the counting area. The ruled surface is 0.1 mm below the cover glass; liquid capacity is 0.1 mm cubed/mm squared and 0.00025 mm cubed/grid square.
