Description

Measures DBNPA in water systems from 0 to 6.8 mg/L. Higher ranges can be achieved with dilutions.

  • DBNPA (dibromonitrile propionamide) is a fast-acting biocide that rapidly degrades to non-hazardous by-products, including ammonia, bromide ions, dibromoacetonitrile and dibromoacetic acid. It therefore also meets strict environmental requirements. It is one of the biocides recommended by many guidelines for the treatment of industrial process water.
  • In water, DBNPA kills microorganisms quickly and acts reliably against bacteria, fungi, yeasts, algae and microbiological slime: it can quickly penetrate the microbial cell membrane, act on certain protein genes and thus lead to cell death.
  • The application of the Test Kit is very easy. After pre-filtration of the water sample, a certain number of reagents is added step by step. Further filtration and the addition of reagent tablets follows. The colour change is used to interpret the results with the help of the colour disc in the comparator.
