Dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ammonium chloride (DTSACl) is an organosilane which can be used as a silica precursor. It forms an oil soluble solution that can act as an emulsion stabilizer.DTSACl may be used for modification of silica.{61} It was used to functionalize Fe3O4/silica-ßcore-shell nanoparticles. {62} DTSACl may be used as a precursor to form silica, 3 and MeMFI zeolite.{63} It acts as a mesopore-generating agent. {64}
