Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) is used as a cyroprotectant for the cryopreservation of cell lines. ATCC DMSO is cell culture grade and has been tested to assure nontoxicity and sterility. DMSO has been filtered through a 0.2 μm PTFE membrane and aseptically dispensed. Each amber vial contains a 5 mL sterile aliquot. This product has applications for cyropreservation, cell culture, cell growth, and viability.
