Description

Disposable Tourniquet used in routine blood collection to apply pressure to the arm to make the veins more prominent and easier to feel and find.

  • Do not apply high pressures that may impair arterial blood flow to the extremity.
  • Release tourniquet as soon as blood starts to flow into the first tube.
  • Too long and too high stasis may contribute to hemolysis.
  • Do not use on broken skin.
  • Dispose tourniquet immediately after use and do not re-use.
  • Reuse of the disposable tourniquet can lead to illness for the patient due to cross-contamination
