DOPE (Dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine) is a neutral helper lipid for cationic liposomes, designed to improve the transfection efficiency of naked siRNA when combined with cationic phospholipids. This product is for research use only. In studies, DOPE, as a neutral lipid in lipid nanoparticles (LNP), has been shown to exert a knock-down effect on macrophages and DCs, and liposomes containing DOPE exhibit fusogenicity. LNP/siRNA significantly suppresses CD45 protein expression in macrophages and DCs, demonstrating its potential as an efficient siRNA delivery system for both murine and human macrophages and DCs.
