With 196 wells on each level, it can accommodate 392 individual 0.1mL or 0.2mL tubes. For strip tubes, the box handles 40 strips of 8 or 28 strips of 12. The top level is a cardboard tray with two finger grips that allow easy access to the lower level. The two level system doubles the capacity while keeping the total box height under 2 inches (51mm) and assuring a good fit in standard height stainless steel racks.
