Dynabeads CaptureSelect AAVX Magnetic Beads are high-capacity, high-throughput magnetic affinity particles for the purification of a broad range of naturally occurring and synthetic adeno-associated virus (AAV) serotypes used for gene therapy applications. The anti-AAVX affinity ligand demonstrates good binding reactivity towards a large variety of AAV serotypes, including AAV1 to AAV8, AAVrh10, and synthetic serotypes. The magnetic beads enable purification using manual and robotic magnetic separators of AAV serotypes directly from crude feedstock in a single step with high purity and yield.

Animal origin statement

CaptureSelect products contain affinity ligands based on recombinant single-domain antibody fragments (VHH) created by a proprietary technology. The VHH affinity ligand is a ∼12–15 kDa fragment comprising the three complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) that form the antigen-binding domain, efficiently produced in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by a production process free of any animal components (Animal Origin-Free).
