Sterile and autoclavable liquid used to differentiate the enterococcal group D from non-enterococcal group D streptococci

Amber-colored broth has a final pH of 7.15.

Composition (g/L):

  • Pancreatic digest of casein, 17g
  • Enzymatic digest of soybean meal, 3g
  • Sodium chloride, 5g
  • Dextrose, 2.5g
  • Dipotassium phosphate, 2.5g
  • Deionized water, 1000mL
