Methodology uses a colorimetric assay to measure the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (and therefore catalase activity) based on the oxidation of iodide by peroxide. This method differs from the AP Biology lab manual; it uses a safer system that eliminates the need for sulfuric acid.
- Perform an enzyme assay
- Determine the rate of a biochemical reaction
