Highly purified (99% pure by SDS-PAGE) mouse type II collagen derived from mouse skin in 1 mL of 0.05M acetic acid at a concetration of 0.5 mg/ml. Free of pepsin and proteoglycans. Each vial contains enough collagen to coat ten 96-well ELISA plates. It is ideal for use as an ELISA antigen to detect anti-mouse type II collagen antibodies in serum of experimental animals used in the Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA) model, or human serum from patients with rheumatoid arthritis or other diseases. Each vial of ELISA grade mouse type II collagen also comes with 10 mL of 10X Collagen Dilution Buffer that should be used to prevent the aggregation of collagen molecules when coating ELISA plates.
