MilliporeSigma Activin A, Human, Recombinant Protein, CHO Cells
Manufacturer: MilliporeSigma 11470010UG
DescriptionRecombinant, human activin A (disulfide-linked homodimer of two 116-amino acid residue βA subunits) expressed in CHO cells. Mature βA-monomer lacks a potential N-linked glycosylation site and has a calculated molecular weight of 13kDa. A member of the TGF-β superfamily that is involved in the negative regulation of B lineage lymphocytes. Shown to play an important role in the regulation of hormonogenesis, cellular homeostasis, and differentiation programs. Reported to inhibit endogenous production of IL-6.
Reconstitute to a concentration ≥10μg/mL with sterile PBS containing ≥0.1% HSA or BSA.
Lyophilized from sterile filtered 35% acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA, 50μg BSA/μg Activin A.
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (−70°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at −70°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of solutions.
