The Kyocera 170HN1 is a 4-flute end mill made of micrograin carbide with a TiAlN coating. It has a 1/2" shank diameter, 1-1/2" overall length, and 1/2" max depth of cut. The end mill has a 30 degree helix angle and is center cutting. It is designed for high feed milling in hardened steels up to 65 HRC, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys, and other difficult to machine materials. The end mill provides high metal removal rates, long tool life, and excellent surface finishes.
