The Kyocera 170HP2 is a 1/2" diameter, 4 flute, high performance cobalt end mill with a 1-1/2" overall length. It has a TiAIN coating and can machine a variety of materials including hardened steels up to 65 HRC, high temp alloys, titanium alloys, nickel based alloys, and stainless steels. The end mill features variable helix flutes to reduce harmonics and provide excellent chip control. Recommended cutting parameters are 12,000-18,000 RPM with feed rates from 0.004-0.012 IPR depending on the material being machined.
