Estradiol cypionate is the 17β-cypionate ester of Estradiol, inhibiting ET-1 synthesis by acting on estrogen receptors. It is intended for research use only. In vitro, it inhibits proliferation of gastric cancer cells and induces G1/S phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis by affecting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. In vivo, it increases cortical bone density in ovariectomized rabbits, increases occurrence of estrus and pregnancy in cows, and inhibits tumor growth in MGC803 nude mice tumor models.
