Biotium EvaGreen 20X in Water, 1 mL

Supplier:  Biotium 31000T

Encompass_Preferred

EvaGreen is a green fluorescent nucleic acid binding dye highly suitable for real-time qPCR, droplet digital PCR, DNA melt curve analysis, capillary electrophoresis etc. Essentially nonfluorescent, the dye becomes highly fluorescent upon dsDNA binding. EvaGreen is less inhibitory to PCR than SYBR Green I due to its smart "release-on-demand" DNA-binding technology, supporting its use at saturating concentrations for greater sensitivity and higher-resolution signal. Low dye migration also make the dye suitable for multiplex PCR. It is detected in the FAM or SYBR Green I channel making it compatible with most qPCR systems, or instruments with a 488 nm laser or visible light excitation in this region. EvaGreen is impermeable to live cells and shown to be non-toxic and non-mutagenic by the Ames test and is extremely stable both thermally and hydrolytically for convenient handling.
