EverBrite™ mounting medium is a revolutionary antifade mounting medium optimally formulated for preserving fluorescence of Biotium’s CF™ dyes and other fluorochromes. Unlike VectaShield®, EverBrite™ is compatible with cyanine-based fluorophores like Cy® dyes. EverBrite™ Hardset mounting medium hardens at room temperature completely in 24 hours. This facilitates handling of the slide and eliminates the need to secure the coverslips. EverBrite™ mounting medium provides a high level of protection from photobleaching over a wide range of fluorescence wavelengths. Mounted slides can be stored at 4°C for a year or longer. EverBrite™ Hardset Mounting Medium has a refractive index of 1.38 initially, which increases to 1.42 after 24 hours of curing, and 1.46 after four days of curing, after which it remains constant. 10 mL.
