The PathHunter eXpress SREBP2 Nuclear Translocation Assay provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates affecting the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. 5'-UMP) based pathway activation via detection of resulting SREBP2 nuclear translocation. This product uses EFC technology. The included cell line overexpresses ProLabel-tagged SREBP2 and nuclear localized EA. Upon pathway activation, induced nuclear translocation of SREBP2 leads to production of EFC signal. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates.
