Expand Long Template PCR System is an enzyme mix that contains thermostable Taq DNA Polymerase and a thermostable DNA polymerase with proofreading activity. This powerful polymerase mixture produces a high yield of PCR product from genomic DNA. Expand Long Template PCR System allows amplification of DNA fragments up to 20kb from human genomic DNA and 40kb from lambdaDNA.The Expand Long Template PCR System copies DNA threefold more accurately than Taq DNA Polymerase.Misincorporations cause Taq DNA polymerase to fall off the DNA strand. The 3- 5 exonuclease activity of the proofreading polymerase reaction mix amplify DNA three times more accurately than Taq DNA polymerase alone.Long PCR products require a special buffer and optimized protocol.
