The Kyocera Indexable Parting and Grooving Insert 170JT4 is a parting and grooving insert designed for use on steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. It features a JT chipbreaker geometry for efficient chip control and is made of micro-grain carbide for wear resistance and strength. The insert has a thickness of 0.118" and is available in widths from 0.039" to 0.197". It can be used at speeds up to 1312 SFM and fits holders with a TPG322 insert pocket. The 170JT4 provides accurate grooving and parting off while minimizing vibration.
