The External Grooving Toolholder KKCR-122B-170HY8 by Kennametal is a right hand external grooving tool holder with a 1/2" shank diameter and accepts inserts with a .122" thickness. It is made from Kennametal BeyondTM grade powdered metal which provides rigidity and heat resistance. The toolholder has a maximum depth of cut of 0.315" and can be used for external grooving, profiling and cutoff applications in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. It has an overall length of 5.5" and weighs 0.44 lbs. The toolholder requires a screw clamp to hold the insert in place.
