Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link™ Amine-PEG11-Biotin
Description
Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link Amine-PEG11-Biotin is a biotinylation reagent containing a long 11-unit polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm and a terminal primary amine group for conjugation and protein labeling with EDC or other crosslinkers.
Highlights:
Biotin – label macromolecules for detection or affinity purification with avidin and streptavidin
Amine-activated – primary amine can be crosslinked to proteins and material surfaces using EDC and other crosslinkers
Polyethylene glycol – PEG groups are flexible, non-immunogenic, hydrophilic, and improve the solubility of labeled antibodies
Spacer arm – the reach between the point of attachment and the biotin affinity tag is more than 50 angstroms, minimizing steric hindrance for the biotin binding-function
