Biotinylate reduced cysteines (-SH groups) with a maleimide-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent containing a stabilizing cyclohexane group in the spacer arm.

Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link BMCC-Biotin is a maleimide-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent with an extended spacer arm that contains a stabilizing cyclohexane group.

Highlights:

  • Biotinylates at pH 6.5-7.5
  • Reaction avoids potential modification of tyrosine groups that can inactivate biological activity
  • Longer spacer arm than iodoacetyl biotin
  • Must be dissolved in DMSO or DMF before use
