Thermo Scientific™ GeneJET Whole Blood Genomic DNA Purification Mini Kit
Description
GeneJET Whole Blood Genomic DNA Purification Mini Kit utilizes silica-based membrane technology in the form of a convenient spin column, eliminating the need for expensive resins, toxic phenol-chloroform extractions, or time-consuming alcohol precipitation. The standard procedure takes less than 20 minutes following cell lysis and yields purified DNA greater than 30 kb in size. Isolated DNA can be used directly in PCR, Southern blotting, and enzymatic reactions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We would highly recommend using the provided Elution Buffer in the elution step for best results. You may use nuclease-free water; however, it may affect the yield of the nucleic acids during purification and their stability during storage.
Yes, the kits are compatible with animal blood for DNA/RNA purification.
The GeneJET spin columns are compatible with vacuum manifolds of standard size (e.g. Qiagen, Sigma-Aldrich, Promega). However, not all GeneJET kits are supported with a vacuum protocol. Please refer to the particular kit protocol for the detailed procedure.
We recommend performing centrifugation steps at room temperature when the temperature is not specified.
No, we do not offer GeneJET columns or MagJET magnetic beads separately at this time.
