Recombinant rat FGF-18 is a heparin-binding fibroblast growth factor involved in cartilage growth, maturation, and the development and repair of bone and cartilage tissue. Supplied as a lyophilized fragment corresponding to residues E28-R199 of the rat sequence, it is intended for in vitro receptor-binding studies, cell-based activity assays, and other biochemical applications where defined FGF-18 activity is required.
- High purity (>95%) protein suitable for biochemical and cell-based assays.
- Expressed in Escherichia coli for consistent batch production.
- Lyophilized formulation dialyzed against PBS or 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
- Demonstrated bioactivity with ED50 <0.5 μg/mL in 3T3 cell assays.
- Reconstitution guidance recommends a concentration of at least 100 μg/mL to preserve activity.
- Stable when aliquoted and stored at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
