Fibronectin Human, E.coli Recombinant Protein (100 g): a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 574 amino acids, MW of 62.6kDa. Lyophilized from a 0.2m sterile filtered solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH8, 150 mM NaCl, w/ 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween-20. PURITY >95%. SUMMARY: Fibronectin takes part as a general cell adhesion molecule by anchoring cells to collagen or proteoglycan substrates. Organizes cellular interaction with the ECM by binding to different components of ECM and to membrane-bound Fibronectin receptors on cell surfaces. Fibronectin is useful for induction of cell attachment to a variety of surfaces (ex. plastic/glass tissue culture labware, petri dishes, coverslips, microcarrier beads). Fibronectin is useful for growth/maintenance of cells in low serum conditions. In general, reconstituted fibronectin should be diluted with sterile physiological saline or serum-free medium to a concentration of 10-50ug/ml.
