It has an excitation maximum at 494 nm and emission maximum at 518 nm. The Flaer dyes are optimized for brightness, photostability, and aqueous solubility. This Flaer iFluor488 product has a molecular weight of 732 Da and is supplied as a lyophilized solid that should be reconstituted in anhydrous DMSO at 10 mM. It can then be diluted into aqueous buffers for labeling reactions. The dye:protein labeling ratio is typically 2-5:1.
