The Flaer iFluor488 is a fluorescent dye used for labeling proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and other fluorescence-based detection methods. It has an excitation maximum at 494 nm and emission maximum at 518 nm. The Flaer dyes are optimized for brightness, photostability, and aqueous solubility. This Flaer iFluor488 product has a molecular weight of 732 Da and is supplied as a lyophilized solid that should be reconstituted in anhydrous DMSO at 10 mM. It can then be diluted into aqueous buffers for labeling reactions. The dye:protein labeling ratio is typically 2-5:1.
