Each bottle contains 100mL of a clear solution composed of 0.1% peptic digest of animal tissue (peptone) in purified water. The formulation contains no antimicrobial preservatives or selective agents, ensuring compatibility with sensitive microbiological assays. Fluid A is commonly used in pharmaceutical and medical device sterility testing as a membrane filtration rinse.
