Fluo-3 AM is a fluorescent Ca2+ chelator with high affinity for calcium. It can specifically identify intracellular calcium ions, offering high sensitivity and low cytotoxicity. Once inside, it is sheared by intracellular esterase and remains in the cell to bind with calcium ions, producing strong fluorescence. It is suitable for laboratory centrifugation and storage.
