Freezing Medium TYB contains TEST-yolk buffer (TYB) to recover more motile sperm post-thaw than glycerol-only media (Hallak 2000, Nallella 2004). TEST-yolk buffer is a semen extender and cryobuffer that can be paired with glycerol to achieve high sperm motility and viability. The egg yolk is from USDA certified virus-free flocks and washed from the sperm after cryopreservation. Freezing Medium TYB is also the only CE-marked and FDA-approved sperm freezing media containing TYB and glycerol.
