Waters TA Instruments GCMS Gas Valve Injection Block is a gas sampling valve assembly for Agilent 8890 GCMS. It carries out gas sample injection including loop wash, loop load, and GC column injection for EGA with GCMS in conjunction with a separately sold EGA Gas Sampling Device. It includes a dual gas valve injection block installed in a small oven on top of the GC oven, which can be heated to 350 °C. The system automatically switches from continuous MS time-based scanning to GCMS separation mode to prevent carryover and provide isolation of the EI source during sample loading. It is sellable and functional only with a separately sold EGA Gas Sampling Device
